Freight Damage, Defective and Shortages Issues:
Defective or freight damaged merchandise will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of artisan® Sewing Supplies, LLC, San Francisco main office, and will be replaced or repaired at no charge to you. It is imperative that you check this shipment for missing, defective or damaged merchandise upon delivery. Shipping cartons and contents should be inspected at the time of delivery for any damage or shortage. No claims for damage or missing parts/merchandise will be considered if not reported within 72 hours of delivery. Items returned to artisan® Sewing Supplies, LLC, SF without an RMA number will not be refunded and may be returned to you freight collect without any credit given. Freight damaged, defective or missing items will be replaced only and are not eligible for refund. If you have changed your mind or no longer want the product you will be subject to the standard return policy stated on the artisan® Sewing Supplies web site. www.artisansew.com.
*NOTE: COMMON CARRIER (TRUCK DELIVERY):
When your shipment is received it must be checked to make sure there is no damage. Claims for shipments signed for without noting visible or possible hidden damage, if present on the bill of lading will be denied by the trucking carrier and you will be responsible for the payment of any repairs or replacements. Common carrier (the trucking company) deliveries do not include any special delivery considerations. You are responsible to remove the merchandise off the rear of the truck and place inside your building. The contracted trucking company will not call you when your merchandise gets to their terminal or is out for local delivery. You should receive an E-Mail notification in advance of the expected day of delivery. You may also, telephone, SMS text, or E-mail artisan® for a tracking number one or two days after your merchandise is shipped. Truck deliveries are curbside and to the rear of the delivery truck; you will need persons present to get the merchandise off the truck and down to the street level, and to accept and sign for the delivery. If you require a truck fitted with a tailgate lift for unloading, or have any special delivery requests you will need to make arrangements with and pay the trucking company for these additional services as they are not included in our standard shipping. If you miss a scheduled delivery or have an unusual delivery, the carrier may charge you additional fees. The carrier is not responsible for bringing merchandise into your home, installing, uncrating or removing packing materials. Also, if the carrier has to store your merchandise because you cannot be contacted for delivery arrangements or are not ready to accept your delivery they may charge you a daily storage fee until your merchandise can be delivered. Please understand we only use common carriers when we cannot use one of the package carriers such as UPS or USPS because of size, weight or other limitations of the merchandise.
